Heavy Engineering

Tikhvin Railway Car Building Plant (TVSZ)

ICT Group is implementing an investment project for construction of the Tikhvin Railway Car Building Plant (TVSZ) on the industrial site in the town of Tikhvin, Leningrad Region. The plant will manufacture 4 types of freight railway cars of new design (solid-bottom gondola, hopper car for mineral fertilizers, flat car for heavy-capacity containers of 80-feet lading length, universal drop-bottom gondola) of joint design by Starfire Engineering & Technologies (USA) and the Engineering Center of Railcar Builders (Russia) on the basis of the bogie with 23,5t and 25t axial load developed by Standard Car Truck (USA).

The annual production capacity of TVSZ is 13,000 railcars, 65,000 wheel sets, and 80,000 tons of steel railway castings. The planned number of employees is 3,500 people. The total volume of investments in the project amounts to over 1 bln US dollars.

Titran Express

In recent years, ’s economic growth has put increasing pressure on the national transportation system. This, coupled with a high degree of obsolescence and wear of the railway vehicle fleet, has driven a surge in demand for machine-building products and enhanced the investor appeal of the heavy engineering industry. ICT Group launched its heavy engineering business in 2001, when it took over the former Zavod Transmash ZAO in Tikhvin, Leningrad Region (now Titran Express ZAO). Titran Express mainly manufactures railway bogies and tank caterpillar tracks. The factory has shown a steady economic improvement in the past few years.

In 2006, ICT Group teamed up with BARAN, a leading Israeli engineering company, to establish ICM (an acronym for “Investment, Construction, Management”), a company tasked with managing construction and process engineering projects for major industrial companies.

Neighborhood Revitalization and Property Management

Northwest TechnoPark

Urban revitalization and property development are crucial components of the Group’s business. ICT has a strong, successful track record in many different projects, from onsite engineering to construction of multifunctional complexes. The group is currently involved in a major project to develop 15 hectares of land on the Karelian Isthmus, a region with high investor appeal near St. Petersburg

ICT also has ongoing development projects in Kolpino and Vsevolozhsk Municipality, Leningrad Region, as well as in Sochi on the Black Sea coast, being implemented in partnership with Northwest TechnoPark, a company providing wraparound service, from revitalization concept and pre-investment feasibility study through to implementation, no matter how challenging the project may seem. Northwest TechnoPark currently manages a project on 86 ha of land in Kolpino, and another one on 22.4 ha in the Vsevolozhsk Municipality, where the Koltushi Highway meets the St. Petersburg Beltway. The company also carries on an elite standalone housing development project in Sochi, named Perspectiva ‘3000.

ICT Group has delegated property management, including utilities, major renovation, remodeling, and commercial rental of offices and warehouses, to Nevskaya Investment & Construction Company (NICC) ZAO since 2004.

Petrochemicals

KIF

In the chemical industry, ICT Group focuses on the production and regeneration (reinstatement of consumer properties) of catalysts for petrochemicals. Specifically, the group produces KIF-T, a molded ionite catalyst, which is an indispensable component of premium high-octane gasoline. KIF-T catalysts are supplied to most or all major oil refineries in Russia and the former Soviet Union.
